Chloe (Manchester, UK)  |  The Journey to Ulcerative Colitis, Steroids, Biologics and Back

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2022, which came as a huge shock. I had no idea about the battle I was to face ahead, managing my condition and trying multiple different treatments provided by the NHS to help my symptoms.

Unfortunately, during this treatment I had multiple colitis flares, and extensive progression with my IBD, especially after the birth of my daughter. I had trialled, oral courses of Oral Steroids, Mesalazine, Azathioprine and then combined with steroid suppositories, all of which didn’t help. My symptoms worsened, and in the space of 18 months, I had 2 hospital admissions for severe acute flares, 1 admission for pancreatitis (caused by Azathioprine), side effects from the steroids, IV pain relief & anti-emetics.

I was told on my last Medical admission, that unfortunately this is the nature of the disease and one day I will most likely become that poorly, I would need bowel surgery for a colostomy. Therefore, I decided to try Biologics, a popular and often last resort medication choice for IBD symptom management. I received regular IV infusions of Infliximab and again, this medication doesn’t come without its side effects and unfortunately, it wasn’t clear how much the infusions were helping.

After experiencing, constant fatigue, bloody diarrhoea, urgency, abdominal discomfort and disturbed sleep due to bowel movements, I lost all hope. Most importantly felt robbed of my motherhood whilst trying to battle this cruel disease. I spent more time trying to manage my disease, than I did looking after my baby.

I started to research ulcerative colitis further, looking for other options and I discovered the functional health approach. I worked with Jack for around 12 months. He took an extensive history and we started the work from there. We ran a multitude of tests and started to identify the factors and results which were likely affecting and worsening my colitis. And even factors which could have been an initial cause.

Before we started the work, Jack made it clear that this wouldn’t be an overnight fix and it required consistency and effort. I was surprised at how many aspects of my life, if not all, we discussed. From food, to triggers, medication, environmental factors, relationships, stress chemistry, supplements, sleep etc, the list could go on. I never realised that all the above could be influencing my disease.

I made the choice, to stop my Biologics, and was able to smoothly come off this medication with Jack’s remit being to support the functional health side of things. We identified certain triggers over the last 12 months, the small flares within this time became shorter, faster to overcome and I was able to resolve these without the need for a course of steroids, which had never happened before.I finally felt like I was healing my gut. Making progress without the need to just manage it and with no medication required.

My inflammation markers, continued to reduce over the 12 months. I am now in a position, where I no longer suffer from my symptoms of 18 months ago. The extensive tests Jack ran, reflect the huge improvement in my gut health. The knowledge gained is invaluable. I will forever be grateful, for the help Jack has provided me over the last 12 months. I would recommend functional health to anyone struggling with their own health, as it has truly changed mine. Thank you Jack

Alphie (London, UK)  |  PPIs for 18 Years

I’m a 31-year-old male who, growing up and for the most part of my life have had stomach issues. These have ranged from bloating, acid reflux, vomiting, stomach ulcers, and Helicobacter pylori infections. I first went to the GP at age 13 and although no tests were run I was prescribed Proton Pump Inhibitors. At the time, they were a lifesaver and alleviated the symptoms.

However, was temporary and seemed only to suppress the problem as over the last 18 years I’ve been on and off these tablets. I actually didn’t think much of it until I had an endoscopy and identified an H pylori infection and stomach ulcer!  At this point I thought I’d be on this medication for life.

Then I came across Jack Walton and Dave Hompes and whilst not knowing what to expect I ran an initial enquiry and discussion with Jack.  We ran a comprehensive digestive health test and the support program started – and that was when my life changed!

We reviewed all the information, thoroughly analysed the test results, discussed my objectives and put a plan together.  I wanted to no longer be reliant on pills, but a major challenge with long term PPI usage is ‘rebound’ as you come off them.

Within 2 weeks of the coaching I saw changes. We implemented the plan, reviewed food diaries, took some foods out of my diet, and within 3 months our mission was complete. I was no longer taking any PPI medication (under Doctor’s supervision), my symptoms had alleviated without them and I had lost some excess weight.

Obviously, the journey was tough but with Jack’s help and expertise, I reversed 18 years of reliance on a pill, got my energy back and realised I’d forgotten what it felt like to feel normal.  I genuinely feel fantastic within myself, sleep better, eat foods I couldn’t before and enjoy the little things in life which I had lost.

Jack’s method of explaining things, non-judgemental aura and general supportive manner made the 3 months a joy as I could see progress week in week out.  Every aspect of what we spoke about into my life now and it has become a lifestyle change rather than a temporary fix. I now know my body better and this has helped me with other aspects of my life. It has been a truly life-changing experience. I would recommend anyone with symptoms or discomfort to not think twice.

Martin (North East, UK)  |  Chronic Brain Fog and Fatigue

From being a healthy, fit young man who climbed, skied, and ran, my health deteriorated with a variety of symptoms; which included painful joints, brain fog and fatigue. I saw a number of health professionals who prescribed a cocktail of medication and physiotherapy for depression and rheumatoid arthritis. The situation became worse, and I was unable to work.

It destroyed my family life.

Unable to see a future from a traditional medical route I approached Jack and following a detailed consultation I decided to undertake a 6 month programme of nutritional advice, tailored movement and bodywork sessions.

Improvements were significant; with my brain fog beginning to clear after the first Bowen session!  By following the programme most of the symptoms I struggled with have completely disappeared or are significantly less noticeable.

All this, without any medication anymore.  And I am now able to work again.  Thank you Jack

Irina (Newcastle upon Tyne, UK)  |  Irina’s Integrated Hormonal Balance Connection

After decades of struggling with many symptoms, guessing, ignoring, visiting doctors that told me that I’m alright and it’s all in my head – I said STOP! No more! I’m not getting anywhere and I am just a living zombie.

I was experiencing hormonal imbalances, low libido, irregular periods, feeling moody to the point when my family didn’t know what to do with me, pain during intercourse, poor concentration, low energy levels, feeling unsatiated from food, food intolerances, bones pain especially knees, unable to loose body fat, constant tummy pain and moving heavily!

So, I sat down with myself and as relaxed as I could, asked my intuition what else can I do? Who’s help can I ask for? What really do I need? And it led me to Jack. ?

Everything felt right. It finally felt like it was the right choice and one of the best choices I have made in my life. It was worth every penny. After few months of working 1 to 1 with Jack and following some ridiculously simple but very effective steps that he recommended, my symptoms started to fade away and I could see and feel day by day how my organs are gaining back their functionality.  And how I am becoming stronger and stronger.

My family could see a significant improvement and I could finally have a better relationship with them and be my normal self. He has been such a good and patient guide and I am forever grateful, appreciating all his years of expertise. I took away precious information from him that I still apply today and know I will use it for the rest of my life.

I believe that the world needs more people like Jack that practice this approach. That know that the body is a system of systems and one needs to take it as a whole in order to make it functional. I am blessed to have worked with him!

Fiona (North-East, UK)  |  Unravelling Chronic Ear Infections and Gut Health

approached Jack at a time I felt I had exhausted the options given to me by my GP and consultants. I wanted a more functional, all-encompassing, 1-1 approach which could not be achieved by conventional routes.

Admittedly, I was initially a little dubious. My symptoms were debilitating.  I had spent time critically ill in hospital and there was a financial commitment for the programme.  However, I was immediately impressed and put at ease by Jack’s enthusiastic, impartial approach from the first phone call. Plus his genuine willingness to share his knowledge and experience. Having undertaken the 6 month programme, I was able to gain access to enhanced testing, individualised nutritional advice in keeping with allergies and intolerances, supplement protocols, bodywork, as well as tailored exercise and movement sessions.

I could never have anticipated the impact this programme would have on all aspects of my life that had been affected by my health. I am astounded by the improvement of all symptoms and the complete eradication of many others. During this time Jack’s programme has supported me beginning a new career and enabled me to play sport again. As well as recover from symptoms relating to surgery. Following Jack’s guidance during this programme has been the driving force that has improved my quality of life far beyond my original expectations. It has allowed me to do things I had previously given up due to my health restrictions, such as eating out and going on holiday.

Jack’s approach has facilitated my continued improvement, even beyond the programme. I have the tools to further enhance my health, working well alongside continued NHS support.

I cannot thank him enough and would highly recommend him to anyone who wanted to improve their health, performance and ultimately, their quality of life.

Bob (New Jersey, USA)  |  Solving a Decade of Gastritis and Abdominal Pain

For 10 years I was trying to figure out what could give me relief of digestive symptoms that had overtaken my life.  Was it what I ate or didn’t eat that was making me feel so poorly or a supplement that would solve these issues? Could all these symptoms be linked: gastritis, gas, bloating, excessive burping, abdominal pain, low back pain, sleep disturbances and sweet cravings? Frustratingly I could find lots of information on the Internet, but didn’t know if it was correct for me and after much investigation, I finally found the work of Jack Walton and Dave Hompes. After studying this material I believed that this method could help, and it did!

The key to my success to attain a healthy digestive system was only due to the personal guidance enabled me to reach my goals. Jack is an intelligent, competent, nonjudgmental, caring professional and after reviewing my health history he explained that all areas of the body and these symptoms are linked, and that he thought my vicious cycle could be reversed.

Based on lab test work and case review we followed a weekly strategy to optimize my nutrition, provide anti-microbial and liver support, improve digestion and balance hormones. The ultimate goal was to equip me with skills to create change and enable me to monitor progress. Goal met! Jack gave me the power to be confident about my health and all that he taught me is now part of my life.

I would like to thank Jack for walking me through this program for my gut health and for all the things that “popped up” during our time together. I sincerely appreciate his time, expertise, compassion, kindness, and care and plan on checking in with him in the future.  I am most grateful for all Jack did for me.

Robert Martin (Quebec, Canada)  |  24 Years of Ulcerative Colitis

Hello, my name is Robert Martin.  For the past 24 years I’ve been struggling with ulcerative colitis.  I’ve been consulting doctors and searching the Internet with the hope, of one day, being able to regain a normal life. Given that conventional medicine couldn’t help me, I’ve always thought that I could and would find the solution on my own with the help of the information and resources available on the Internet.  Unfortunately, a lot of the information available is confusing, contradictory and misleading hence making it extremely hard to know right from wrong.  In desperation, I finally realize a year ago that I needed a nutritional coach to guide me through this sea of information.  That is when I started looking for a nutritional coach that I could partner with.  I was looking for someone that would be available to me (whenever I had questions or needed immediate support), someone that would take the time to educate me and someone that would use an holistic and natural approach.  After doing a lot of research, I found the Hompes Method and Functional Medicine Practitioner Jack Walton. I have now been working with Jack for a little over a year.  Since a year ago, Jack has accompanied me in my healing process.  Jack has helped me regain my life.  The healing continues yet, I now feel for the first in 24 years, that I am finally on the road to recovery and that I am regaining control of my life.  The only thing I regret in all this is not having made this decision earlier.  It’s been an incredible healing and learning journey. Thanks Jack for everything you have done for me.

Don (North Carolina, USA)  |  48hrs to Alleviate 35yrs of Digestive Health and Sciatic Pain

My experience with Hompes Method and Functional Medicine Practitioner Jack Walton, was nothing short of remarkable. After years of searching for the answer to my ongoing digestive problems, I followed Jack’s advice to take a simple, at-home test.  When the results of that test were sent to Jack, he advised me to take a single action that would change my life for the better within 48 hours. He was correct. That was the beginning of a most remarkable three months of support (with Jack leading me all the way.) The information I gleaned during that time has been instrumental in improvements to my overall health that were wonderful. When I consider the costs, they were miniscule when compared to what I have spent with all but useless mainstream medicine, it is my advice to anyone considering working with Jack that you run, not walk, to your computer and sign up.

Abbi (London, UK)  |  Optimising Health following Traveller’s Digestive Infection

Jack guided me to get my body to it’s optimal state, which I can say feels fantastic. At the age of 22, after travelling around the world I was suffering with many symptoms that were effecting everyday life. I searched for answers for a long time before I was introduced to functional medicine and we ran the diagnostics. It looked like a long road ahead to optimise my health. However Jack helped me using his thorough knowledge of functional medicine and nutrition and we started to get my body on track again. Over time, I felt more & more healthier & happier within myself. I can’t thank Jack enough. Not only did we clear the H-Pylori, but he also taught me so much about my body that I can hold onto forever and put in place whenever I need. Thanks Jack. I appreciate your time & the effort you put into this.

Alex (London, UK)  |  4 Years of UTIs and Bladder Health Challenges

I started working with Jack to alleviate some constant bladder symptoms I was having. During the 3 months we worked together I gained so much more than relief to my bladder. I learnt how to look after myself to a higher standard and maintain life with full vitality. We worked together and Jack became almost a life coach in that he guided the tweaks to nutrition, how to improve energy levels, sleeping habits and just support in making the right decisions for my health. As a Pilates Instructor setting up a new business this not only improved my personal life, but my work life as well. The knowledge and skills I picked up in the 3 months I was working with Jack are now in my ‘tool box’ for life!

Melanie (Portland, Oregon, USA)  |  Indigestion, Body Composition and Hormones

Jack, I want you to know how much I appreciate your program and all you have done for me.

One year ago, I had a dream opportunity to buy the business I was working in, but I was too weak and ill to be able to do that.  Now, with your help and guidance and some hard work, I was able to trust my gut and jump when the opportunity came around again.  I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t found your program.

Let’s rewind.  I had come across so much information on the internet, but couldn’t make sense or practical use of it.  Your system laid it all out in such an organized, cohesive manner, that it made implementation easy and of course, having personal guidance made all the difference.  I’m glad the initial program was for a few months as it gave me time to make sustainable changes, instead of just a passing protocol.

Now these methods are a part of my life, they are my foundation for health.  You not only helped me to find health again, but gave me the power to be in control of my health again.

All the doctors I had worked with seemed to like to keep me in the dark and act as though only they could hold the keys to my health, but you shined the light on everything.  I find it amusing that I had to get in touch with someone halfway across the world to help me…yay for modern technology!  Because without it I would be stuck with the backwards way of “practicing medicine” in my rural area.

You have done more for me from thousands of miles away than any of the practitioners that I have seen in person.  Jack, you were my rock.  Thank you for getting me through this.  For everything you have done for me and my health, I am truly, truly thankful.

Marcelino (Barcelona, Spain)  |  Acid Reflux, H pylori and Nutrition

I was researching stomach problems because I was having a lot of them. Specifically acid reflux and I started to suspect H. Pylori.

At that moment I had visited every Doctor in my city, Barcelona and they just told me that I had some “genetic” tendency to have acid reflux and related problems. To me this was really lacking sense because I had never previously experienced the symptoms before.

It all started when I was racing cycling at a professional level.  I was focused on the competitive weight loss goal and started to care less about my nutrition, severely restricting calorie intake.

This was a very bad decision and I started to get all kinds of illnesses that I’d never had before.  When feeling so weak, the straw that seemed to break the camel’s back was some seafood poisoning traveling to Latin America.  After that I never really recovered and the symptoms just increased.

Thankfully, on the coaching program I was taught about the importance of the food we put into our system, the nutrients, vitamins and minerals our body needs in order to repair. I also understood the ability to balance the nutrition alongside the exercise demands.

We made small changes every week. I started to cook my own food. My skills have improved and I enjoy cooking now. Jack was very supportive all the time and had a lot of patience with me, which I tremendously appreciate. Our relationship became like a coach-athlete, responding very fast to see the best change to keep achieving our goals.

Three weeks in and I had more energy. A surprised because it was the first time in years. I recovered my natural sleep cycle which I’d lost. From that point my wellbeing soared. I think this is the future of the medicine!

Claire (Leicestershire, UK)  |  A Decade of Doctors, Diets and Programs

My situation was desperate when I first started working with Jack Walton. I had been suffering from a list of symptoms for over a decade and had been to numerous Drs, specialists and alternative practitioners, costing me a fortune with no answers.

My Doctors told me I was an anxious young women and to go on anti-depressants, which I didn’t, but did have to take sleeping pills. I was also previously diagnosed by an alternative practitioner with adrenal fatigue which seemed to make sense as all my symptoms seemed to point to that, I had to give up sugar and caffeine which was awful as I’ve always had a sweet tooth and as I was always fatigued, needed my caffeine fix.

I did this for nearly two years and being me did it completely, no cheating. I was also put on a regular eating plan of every 3 hours lots of greens, brown grains, nuts and lean meat and oily fish. I did all this but still was suffering from all my symptoms. And my gut was getting worse. Bloating, wind and pain in my chest. One day I thought I was having a heart attack!

I had given up with the Drs, who had basically washed their hands of me. Then I came across Jack through my mum who had who had been really ill and had had some amazing results. I felt reluctant at first having spent so much money in the past with no results, but deep down it felt right.

Jack did tests and found stuff going on in my gut which were never picked up before even though I’d had similar tests previously. Jack coached me nutritional approach that was so different to what I had called a healthy diet I had before. There were great strategies around sugar, caffeine and beyond that alleviated the fatigue, tummy aches and jitters!

I had a weekly meeting with Jack for 3 months to guide me through my ups and downs, tweak my diet plans, along with supplements and gut restoration steps. Alongside changing lifestyle and approach to exercise.

The progress was steady and gradual. I was soon feeling better than I’d felt in years. My stomach was not bloating, with less pain and no wind. At last this embarrassing problem was going, my energy levels were rising, anxiety reducing and I was sleeping much better.

I think that everybody should work with Jack. You cannot put a price on your health!.

Linda (Cirencester, UK)  |  Chronic Diarrhea for One Whole Year

I was having trouble with my digestion, having suffered from diarrhea for over a year and was feeling pretty lousy. My health problems had ruined the family summer holiday and Christmas.

I consulted my medical practitioner who suggested a whole series of tests and one of the tests was for H Pylori, which came back positive.  My GP wrote me a prescription for the Triple Antibiotic treatment which is the standard treatment offered by the NHS, but I decided to investigate an alternative method to look at my whole body and came across Jack Walton.

Jack and I worked together for around 5 months, but my digestive health improved within the first few days.  We ran a gut function test and I followed his protocol of diet and lifestyle changes with some supplementation and my health was transformed! I had the best set of blood results in 20 years and felt great.

I would highly recommend Jack as a health practitioner to anyone and would definitely go back to him if I needed to.

After a long history of stomach issues and taking omeprazole without relief, I decided to have a stool test. With Jack Walton as my advisor for several months my tests revealed several findings including poor digestion of carbohydrates and fats. The work we did on gluten sensitivity has made a great difference too.

Through nutrition and some supplementation and we alleviated the stomach issues.  I have even lost some weight and found my energy level increase which is very important at 74 years of age to maintain an active lifestyle through sports, volunteering, gardening and more.  I continue to follow and maintain the diet which reflected in my most recent bloodwork as having the best numbers yet. My thanks to Jack Walton for the great coaching job.

I experienced 4 to 5 years of suffering from digestive issues with numerous terrible and suicidal like symptoms which accumulated and were worsening day by day.  Throughout these years my doctor was convinced that I had lost my mind and was just over reacting about my health condition and he recommended that I should see a psychiatrist.  To make long story short I changed 5 doctors in a period of 2 years and felt let down by all of them. The despair of my well being made me feel like it’s too late for me as life itself was meaningless with my condition.  Eventually, my last doctor did another blood work and he found H.pylori, he then prescribe antibiotics which didn’t sound like a good idea at all. After two courses of antibiotics it still didn’t feel like I was getting better and the doctor told me it was difficult to really know if the H pylori present.  After coming across the Jack Walton’s program I have made the biggest progress in my health condition and my overall health hasn’t just improved but I feel like I have surpassed my health goals and have reached the highest vitality since I can remember. If I could rate the program on a scale of 5 I would give it 5+ as this program really optimises your health.  Thank You Jack

I never want a single person out there to ever feel the way I did if I can help it. Thanks to you I can finally take on the world and finally start living again.  I still have a long way to go and so much to learn. We were planning on having a baby, but then found out that I was dealing with an H pylori Infection and had various other health challenges that would ideally be optimized first.

So we embarked on a support program with Jack to do this and hopefully solve my chest pain, irregular bowel movements, low appetite, weight fluctuations, PMS and low body temperature.

Well, to cut a longer story short – On completing the program I felt  the best I have ever felt. Not only did we improve and eliminate most symptoms, but a few months later I became pregnant and now have given birth to a healthy baby girl!.  Thank you Jack

Jane (Texas, USA)  |  Helicobacter pylori and Acid Reflux

For the last 10 years I had been treating a diagnosis of Osteopenia with Fosamax medications, but as it was still getting worse, my Endocrinologist wanted to increase the treatments. I consulted two specialists, but decided that I would prefer to avoid medications and the side effects where possible.

I worked with several practitioners, running various tests and applying steps like nutrition and supplementation. These all helped me make some general improvements, but then I started experiencing more Acid Reflux and one of my tests had identified an H pylori infection and yeast and fungal overgrowth.

That’s when my research brought me to the work that Jack Walton and Dave Hompes do. And most interestingly how the various health challenges and symptoms I was having could be linked in some way.

Part of my concern about H pylori was that it was contagious and how that could affect my family.  So as part of the coaching support we ran tests to screen my husband, son, daughter and son-in-law.  We live in Texas, so it was fantastic that we could access this type of functional lab testing via Jack.

My daughter’s test came back positive for H pylori and she had been ill for many years, since a child. So, whilst we both had quite different situations, symptoms and presentations, both my daughter, Meghan and I began working with Jack.  There were some tricky adjustments to foods and some supplementation, but we worked hard to put everything in place.

The weekly support and coaching were an anchor that helped reassure us that we would be able to deal with this. I was quite alarmed at the beginning, but through conversation with Jack, was able to put my body’s health in a better perspective and deal with the findings as part of a larger goal. That lowered if not eliminated the stress of having the h. pylori and yeast and I gained confidence in dealing with and in trusting that I could influence my body’s health.

Given the situation I was expecting at least a year of treatment. Yet to our amazement after 3 months our retests showed both negative for H pylori and the yeast and fungal overgrowth and most of our symptoms were alleviated.

We are both very grateful for Jack’s help and it is with great appreciation that Meghan and I say ‘thank you Jack’.

Barbara (United Kingdom)  |  Success After Years of Painful Metabolic Disorder

I am so very grateful for all your advice and reassurance over the months, helping me tremendously to feel much more confident in dealing with this metabolic disorder. After all these years of slow painful decline and concern it is so gratifying to be back in the control and feel and look better. My husband and many of my friends have noted a difference in my appearance too.

For many years my health issues were getting more serious – Abdominal Distention, Non alcoholic fatty liver disease, GastroIntestinal disorders, Weight Gain, Low Energy, Sleep Disorders, Low Morale and Aching Muscles and Joints.

Having a Nursing and Medical background I have sought help and treatment from NHS, Naturopaths, Acupuncturist and Homeopaths over the years. Finally in 2012 I felt so poorly, exhausted and in a lot of discomfort so my GP and various NHS Consultants ran testing including blood tests, Gastroscopies and Colonoscopies.

I received several diagnoses (antral gastritis, Non Functioning Gall Bladder, Diverticula) and an “inconclusive” outcome.  So I began working with Jack Walton and Dave Hompes to develop a way forward and focused mainly on nutrition and functional medicine for gut healing.

At last I am able to sleep naturally for first time in 7-8 years. Energy levels are very good and muscle tone and aching joints have subsided. Abdominal distention has minimised greatly too. Although there is some ongoing work to do on the NAFLD and non functioning gall bladder, I am now in my late 70’s but feel much younger and able to enjoy a more energetic lifestyle.

It was a very frightening condition to be in and I was forced to stop working.

I went to many doctors and I did many tests, but no one had any idea as to what might be going on. Jack’s program offered hope for me in the form of a pathway to help my body heal.  The process of healing has been a lengthy one, but I feel significantly better now.

I feel a great deal of it has to do with Jack’s ability to guide the healing process, which is something that regular doctors simply were unable to do. The health care system, at least in the US, is not designed to work in such a way. I’m grateful that I was able to find and work with Jack.

There are many great things about Jack’s approach. First, his guidance is not based on guessing – it’s based on running assessments to achieve insight on metabolic function.  The added benefit of this approach is that the assessments can be repeated after a certain time to gauge if there’s been progress. These tests are incredibly detailed, and, I believe, significantly more thorough than many of the tests I could do with my regular doctor.

Also, Jack is very knowledgeable about human biochemistry and how metabolism works. I always thought that I knew a good deal about human metabolism, but Jack’s knowledge of how it can be optimized, is probably well beyond that of many other experts. Jack is also very thorough and patient with his explanations and he can go into as much detail as one likes. After having worked with Jack, I wish that the family doctors that I’ve had throughout my life were as knowledgeable, thorough, and meticulous as he’s been.

John K (Durham, UK)  |  Chronic Pain Pathway Patient and Bowen Technique

When I first came across The Bowen Technique I was skeptical. How could something so non-invasive and subtle be of any use! Particularly as I had been in such a lot of back pain for about 6months. Yet – within a week my pain had reduced by 50% and after two sessions, for the first time in many months, I actually had days where I forgot about my back and leg pain ailments that had kept me from enjoying my life for so long. After just four sessions I felt great – No pain, not even any stiffness. Apart from the treatment itself, the manner in which Jack delivered the sessions and the advice given makes this the best experience I’ve had of a health treatment by far. And believe me. I’ve tried everything!

James C (Durham, UK)  |  Bowen Therapy and Pain Medication Reduction

I had suffered from back pain for a lot of years and often relied on Morphine for pain relief. The amount of pills were increasing throughout the day to ease the pain, especially when I wanted to go out and walk the dogs. Within the NHS I had tried Physio and a TENs machine, but did not experience any improvements. When I began working with Jack through the Chronic Pain Pathway we started with the Bowen Technique. I was amazed after just 3 sessions (3 weeks) and the difference it made. Now, I’m not taking any Morphine or pain medication as the back pain has been alleviated. Furthermore my overall movement, walking is enjoyable again and my sleep is much better.
